Mountain Bike

Barcelona has beaches and architecture. Collserola has the trails. And we know exactly where to ride them.

A Natural MTB Playground

Collserola Natural Park is defined by its mountainous and irregular terrain, offering an enormous network of fire roads and singletracks of every style and difficulty. Across more than 8,000 hectares of forest, valleys and open hillsides, riders can experience everything from smooth gravel paths to rocky trails, loose terrain, roots and seasonal river crossings.

Just minutes from Barcelona, the park feels like a completely different world built for riding.

Endless Route Possibilities

One of the most fascinating aspects of Collserola is how much a ride can change. The very same loop can feel completely different depending on the direction, trail selection and the countless hidden connectors spread throughout the mountain.

This allows every ride to be adapted to the rider’s level, fitness and riding style — from relaxed flow trails to demanding technical sections.

Flow, Gravel & Hidden Corners

Another great advantage of Collserola is the presence of fresh water fountains distributed across different sectors of the park, as well as easy access to small villages if needed during the ride.

Thanks to its extensive network of smooth fire roads and gravel paths, Collserola is also an excellent terrain for gravel riding, offering a perfect mix of flow, scenery and low-traffic routes.

What you’ll discover

Collserola, often called the “green lungs of Barcelona” , allows you to experience Barcelona from a completely different perspective while discovering pieces of local history and Catalan culture along the way.

During the ride you may encounter iconic locations such as:

  • Tibidabo Amusement Park, overlooking the entire city
  • Medieval hermitages like Sant Medir
  • The unfinished Torre Baró Castle and the historic Can Ribes Viaduct
  • Pi d’en Xandri, a monumental pine tree more than 250 years old
  • The peaceful Vallvidrera Reservoir
  • Traditional Catalan farmhouses (Masías) where local food and regional products are served.
